China Ball, or Chinese paper latern, is made by a paper lantern holder and lamp socket for creating natural soft light and pleasant skin tones in the film and video field. The frame of Kupo China ball, constructed from quality 3/16’’ (5mm) steel with a chrome plated surface treatment, is interchangeable by removing the screw nuts if a different size of lantern paper is needed. The rotatable steel ring makes it easy to control the output of light while the fabric or gel is attached. The anti-kinking spiral top cable gland is also equipped to prevent the cable from becoming loose when subject to vibration. The 3C*14AWG (2.08mm) cable is measured 90cm in length comes with standard edison plug. Ceramic lamp socket is firmly fixed on the round metal plate keeping the bulb from wobbling. Two 1/4’’-20 and two 3/8’’-16 threaded holes are pre-drilled underneath the round plate providing a great mounting solution through any grip equipment, comes with 1/4’’-20 or 3/8’’-16 thread male. A 5/8" (16mm) pin comes with 3/8"-16 threaded male is included. The lamps made for photography are recommended when using these lanterns for film and video. Please be sure to never leave them unattended due to the threat of spontaneous fire.
