Parfocal zoom and stable working distance
The zoom ring moves through the complete 1–5X range while focus remains locked on the subject. Because the barrel does not extend and the working distance stays at 40.35 mm, the camera and lights can remain in place while the composition is refined.
APO optics for high-magnification detail
An apochromatic optical design controls chromatic aberration and colour fringing to retain fine detail throughout the zoom range. The lens uses 13 elements in 9 groups, an 11-blade aperture and an f/2.8–f/11 range, with fully manual focus for precise adjustments. An optional Aksen tripod collar can mount the lens directly to a support for improved balance and reduced vibration.
