The SIRUI IronStar 100 mm T2.8 combines full-frame coverage with a 1.5x anamorphic image for macro inserts, product details and textured close-up shots. A neutral flare version, it gives cinematographers geared manual control and a consistent visual character alongside the other IronStar lenses.
The 1.5x anamorphic image
A constant 1.5x squeeze captures a wider horizontal field than a conventional spherical lens and produces an elongated bokeh shape after de-squeezing. The result is useful for creating visual depth in dialogue, storytelling and atmospherically lit scenes.
Cine mechanics and matching lenses
The lens is supplied with an interchangeable PL/EF mount design for use across compatible cinema camera systems. A 270° focus throw, cine gears and unified dimensions are designed for follow-focus operation and efficient lens changes. This version features neutral flare rendering. The 100 mm model also offers 0.5x close-up magnification and can focus down to 0.30 m.
Unlike a conventional anamorphic telephoto, the 100 mm offers 0.5x close-up magnification and a minimum focus distance of 0.30 m. That makes fine product details and textured macro inserts practical without abandoning the 1.5x widescreen aesthetic.
